San Francisco’s Eve of Justice Rally
Last night saw the Eve of Justice rallies across the state of California. Below are videos of the San Francisco rally, but if you have time for only one, watch the video of 11 year old Sam because he is fantastic!
Opponents to marriage equality love to involve children in their arguments. We say in order to be truly pro-family you have to be in favor of protecting all families and all children. Because “thinking of the children” means thinking about the impact not having marriage equality has on children like Sam.

Rally Thanks!
We appreciate everyone who participated in and attended the Statehouse rally yesterday, Open Your Heart To Equality! It was so gratifying to have over 200 people attend. Special thanks to those legislators who showed up to support marriage equality and to Downcity for hosting the after-rally party. About 50 of us hung out in the restaurant and enjoyed delicious appetizers (even scallops wrapped in bacon!) while getting to know one another better. Thanks so much to Abby for saying yes and making us feel right at home. AND to Sarah, John and friends for baking those delicious Valentine’s cookies!

MERI will be hosting a Rally at the Rhode Island State House on Thursday, Feb. 12th in the afternoon. Come meet your rep or senator, tell your story, and raise your voice for Marriage Equality in Rhode Island!
