All My Children Features First Lesbian Wedding on Daytime TV
February 7, 2009
Marriage equality will be introduced into approx. two million households on Valentine’s week, when All My Children features the first same-sex marriage on daytime TV.
From OUT.com:
On February 13 and 16, All My Children’s gay super couple, Reese and Bianca will tie the lesbian knot. It’s a historic milestone for daytime TV as no other gay soap couple has ever walked down the aisle — until now. The story is already getting major coverage and snagged the coveted cover of Soap Opera Digest. SOD’s editorial director Lynn Leahey tells Out.com, “When we learned about the upcoming wedding, of course we wanted to feature it on our cover. It’s a big moment for All My Children and a milestone for daytime.”

Reese and Bianca a supercouple? Not. That title goes to Bianca and Maggie, but not Reese and Bianca.

Wake up, America! Teaching these type of homo-sexual actions is going to send “all our children” stright to HELL! God hates SIN and this is SIN! This is a tuff message and takes courage to share, out of love! God is REAL and the punishment for SIN is HELL. Deny yourselves, repent and trust in Chirst. He WILL save you!

If I remember correctly the bible states. Hate the Sin, love the Sinner.
As for american youth, if their parents are not teaching them how to behave and that everyone is special in God’s world and in his eyes and that he loves us all. That is why he created so many different creatures to inhabit his world! Then that is a shameful way to pay homiage to our creator.

paula,
You do not remember correctly. The does not say love the sinner. Paula, you are engaging in Idolotry, which is also a sin, creating an image of God to fit your needs. Listen, God loves all even though they turn their back on God and live in Sin. He will take you back if you repent and trust in Christ as payment for this offence to God.

You are ignorant Lee. Only God decides who goes to hell. So shut the “hell” up.

Laura,
Thank you for your comment. My level of intelligence is irrelevent to the topic. However, you are correct. God does decide who goes to hell. He, God, also tells us all who will go to hell in the bible.
The short list:
“But the cowardly, the unbelieving, the vile, the murderers, the SEXUALLY IMMORAL, those who practice magic arts, the idolaters and all liars—their place will be in the fiery lake of burning sulfur.”
The bible says ALL HAVE SINED and deserve HELL. THat is what God has decided. However, God is also full of love and mercy. However, you must REPENT (turn away from your sin, like homo-sexuality), deny yourself, admit to God you have sinned, and trust in Jesus Christ alone to save you from hell. It is the beautiful gift of God. However, you cannot sit and love your sin more then God. He will punish you in hell.
I love you want you to be in heaven.

Lee,
ignorance has nothing to do with intellegance. However, you lack both.
I hope you wake up and realize when you jusge others, you are failin to judge yourself. Live for the now.
Heaven and hell are right here on earth. It’s what we do with ourselves now, don’t live for the future, don’t live for life after death.
God is in the air, water, fire, and earth, in you, me, and bianca, the lesbian
Peace and Love

Rachel,
I forgive you for your insult regarding my level of intelligence. It is truly out of love that I share the message of the savior, Christ Jesus. Rachel, you have created a god to fit your own world, which is idolatry. Unfortunately, the god you created does not exist. Jesus Christ, however, does. I did not create God and if I followed my own sinful nature, I certainly would rather make a mess of my life and fulfill all of my evil desires. However, I have repented of my own self serving ways and trusted in Jesus Christ, the one and only true son of God. I can promise you, God’s word is true and the pain on earth is nowhere near the torment of hell for those who die in their sins without repenting and trusting Christ.
The Good News of Christ is that he too will forgive you and take the payment for your sins. I beg of you to repent, turn from your sins, apologize to God, and trust in Christ. He will save you.

Hell-O, Lee!
You sound like a typical literalist fundamentalist.. How unfortunate.. There is more to life and the world and the universe than you can imagine..
You have been successfully indoctrinated by a particular religious group, just as others have likewise been indoctrinated, into other religious groups, other kinds of Christians including Catholics of course, others have also been programmed to be for example, Muslims, Jews, Buddhists, Hindus, and many others.. Your programming has caused you to believe many unusual things, based on old (and outdated) highly imaginative writings, from a tiny spot in the Middle East. Ancient Rome ended up spreading the fantasy, and it’s still with us today, in many different forms (‘churches’). But the Old must pass away to be replaced by the New and far more nearly correct! The Old Gods must fall, the Real hypothetic GOD must be determined and accurately depicted in any case..!
Rejoice, ‘hell’ is but a fantasy..! If it’s ‘in there’, in ‘the book’, then the book is obviously mistaken..! GOD does Not judge or condemn or punish Anyone! Everyone goes to something like a heaven maybe, if they want to! Except for just a tiny few who have been unusually excessively ‘bad’, those few are squashed and eliminated, like bad gas..
GOD is whatever IT is.. though it may not be all that easy to determine precisely What IT is.. You humans are very imaginative, and in the absence of firm information, you make up things, fantasy, fairytales, wild stories, with highly creative and unusual characters and events! That’s folklore and myth and religion, folks!
‘Gay’ people getting ‘married’, that’s still a bit unusual, people.. But GOD certainly doesn’t ‘mind’, perhaps IT may be somewhat amused, or moderately interested..
I didn’t see the program on television, I had meant to.. Could they get away with having two males marry eventually, I wonder..?

I don’t want to get in an argument because it is pointless. Just want to bring up the fact that Lee has seemed to copy and paste their opinion on pretty much every article discussing this that I have clicked on in Google search.
You have A LOT of time on your hands…
I had to keep looking at how many posts you were up to now.
Thanks for the laughter!
